About Dr. Hong:
Dr. Hong is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Wilkes University. He primarily teaches pharmacology and medicinal chemistry contents in the pharmacotherapeutic modules for second and third year pharmacy students. Other teaching interest includes, nanomedicine, and history of drug discovery. He received both Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences from West Virginia University, School of Pharmacy in Morgantown, West Virginia. |

About Kevin:
Kevin is a Masters student at Wilkes University studying bioengineering. He previously received his Bachelors of Science in Biology at Fairleigh Dickson University. His primary interests are in Bio-remediation, Nanotechnology, and Biomechanics. As the graduate assistant in the lab, Kevin brings his knowledge and experiences. He is one of the major contributors. Other than an insane love for science he is also loves animals, long drives, bike rides, and good food! |
About Danica:
Danica is Pharmacy student at Wilkes University with a minor in Spanish. She is a P2 this fall semester and graciously volunteers her time as a resource to our team. She assists on lab projects, website design, and anything thrown her way to enhance the success of our research. Outside of the lab, she is a highly involved student at Wilkes University with primary passions in serving underserved populations through her work in various other clubs and organizations. |
Mia Lussier
Student, PharmD. About Mia:
Mia is a second-year pharmacy student at Wilkes University. As she works on our research, she is not new to the lab as she also works with Geisinger in the Center for Pharmacy Innovations and Outcomes on health outcomes research. Mia is part of multiple pharmacy organizations on campus including holding leadership positions in LKS, a professional fraternity, and APhA-ASP. Mia is also a college athlete participating on the Wilkes University Softball Team. Post graduation she plans on pursing a fellowship or receiving her PhD in order to continue working in the research field. |
Alex Ponce
Student, PharmD. About Alex:
Alex is a third-year pharmacy student at Wilkes University with a minor in business management. As he looks to his last year, he is highly interested in pursuing a residency after graduation. He comes to the lab as a volunteer in order to expand his knowledge and contribute to the projects ran in the lab. Alex is heavily involved in various clubs and professional associations like many others in the lab! In his free time, he coordinates events for these organizations and takes on different leadership positions. |
